Taking on Tech

The International AIDS Conference has come to Washington, and I can see delegates getting to work throughout the city. So it is a bit strange at this moment to be diving into a new subject, as the Post's national technology reporter. Just got back from a quick visit to Europe, and the first of my stories from the trip is on the front page of the paper today. It's about how European regulators are pushing hard on the big American technology companies, Google foremost among them. Please take a look. More to come from this trip and others. Tinderbox is Coming March 5


At long last, the book that I have co-authored with epidemiologist Daniel Halperin is coming out on March 5. Tinderbox: How the West Sparked the AIDS Epidemic and How the World Can Finally Overcome It, published by The Penguin Press, is printed and on its way to book stores. Watch this space for details...
